2018-05-16 Victoria Falls

It’s about a one hour drive from the Mattest River Lodge to the Victoria Falls. Getting closer to the entrance of the Victoria Falls, the more Tourist like it gets.

We had been warned, that it would be really wet visiting the Victoria Falls and that we should be prepared, specially also for our camera gear. Finally we have decided to leave the cameras in the car, which was for sure a good decision.

When we saw this, we knew it's gonna be wet ! (Sony RX1R 35mm, f/8, ISO 100, 1/100)

The following image shows and overview of the lookouts within the park of Victoria Falls.

From that point on I had stopped taking pictures, the camera (my Sony RX1R) would have been too much at risk, I did not have a diving housing. I continued to take videos with the Sony RX0 as this is a water proof camera.

The forest on the rim of the falls is a very dense rain forest.

Sometimes the rain is so dense that one can not see the falls that are right in front

We concluded this beautiful visit with a perfect High Tea on the Stanley Terrace at the Victoria Falls Hotel.
